Not much surfing but a good paddle and a few tumbles. Occasional huge swell coming through. The biggest would break further out and require duck diving even beyond what one thought was backline.

Gareth had a few short rides. I was not even close to getting up. Not sure why. Gareth found getting out a bit tiring as he hasn't surfed for a while and went in for a break. Around then the SW started to blow so I came in to make windsurfing decisions.

good experience, a bit of paddling fitness but this still remains a very secondary sport for me. My fault for not getting a correct size board but I must focus on windsurfing and work with what I have on the surfing side.
